Overview:
PRINCE2 Foundation introduces the structured project management method used throughout the UK public and private sectors. Delegates learn how projects are divided into manageable stages with clear roles, responsibilities and decision points that keep delivery aligned to business objectives. The qualification emphasises practical application of principles such as continued business justification, defined roles and management by exception in everyday project work.

Successful delegates receive the PRINCE2 Foundation certificate. The qualification has no expiry date and acts as the required entry point for progression to the PRINCE2 Practitioner level.

The standard course is delivered over three consecutive days with the examination held on the final afternoon.
No prior qualifications are required. Some familiarity with project work is helpful but not essential.
Delegates study the seven principles, seven themes and seven processes together with tailoring guidance and examination preparation.
Assessment consists of a one-hour multiple-choice examination taken at the end of the course.
Delegates who pass the examination receive the official PRINCE2 Foundation certificate.
The certificate remains valid indefinitely and does not require renewal.
No refresher is mandatory, although many delegates choose to attend Practitioner training to extend their skills.
Foundation confirms knowledge of the method while Practitioner develops the ability to apply and tailor PRINCE2 in live projects.
